FIRST TIME VISITORS
If you are a first time visitor, then you will see there is much to explore in
our website. Click on Products & Services to
get right into our list of product lines and scales on our website. On
the Products and Services page, we sort our products into two major groups,
brass models (in the upper half of the page) and non-brass models in the lower
half of the page. By brass models, we mean the expensive brass
models made in Japan and South Korea costing $200-$5,000.
NEW MODELLERS
If you are a beginning modeler, then we advise you to purchase plastic models.
As you gain more knowledge then you may want to purchase some brass models.
PLASTIC MODELS
We specialize in HO and N scale locomotives and rolling stock manufactured by
Lifelike in their Proto 1000 and Proto 2000 lines and True
Line Trains. We are one of the largest dealers in the world for Rapido
Trains, for their line of HO scale models. There are
Rapido passenger cars,
Rapido
TurboTrains, and Rapido LRC models. We also carry a number
of items from manufacturers such as Tower
55, Atlas,
Bachmann-Spectrum, Broadway
Limited, and their new Blue Line of products, Intermountain Railway Company, Kato
and Precision
Craft Models.
As a Walthers dealer, we can get any item available in the Walthers catalogs
or website,
usually at a discount equal to, or better than our competitors.
BRASS MODELS
We specialize in brass model trains, engines, rolling stock,
cabooses, etc, with a primary emphasis on those from Overland
Models Inc., for whom we are one of the largest dealers in the world. Every in-stock
and future Overland model is listed on our web site and, as often as possible, we provide
pictures of prototypes or models.
We are also dealers for brass models from manufacturers such as
Division Point, Division Point North, Key Imports, Coach Yard,
Precision
Scale & Sunset Models.
In addition, because we are located in Canada, we also specialize in brass
models of Canadian steam locomotives. Many of these are Van Hobbies
models (CN or CP)
as well as the new Division
Point North line.
Lastly, you will also note, in our Miscellaneous Brass section, that we have a
small number of models from other manufacturers, such as United, Balboa, KTM,
Soho, etc. These models come primarily from our
customers on a trade or consignment basis.
Our web pages are updated on a real time basis throughout
each business day. This means that, if you see it on one of our web pages, we
can almost always fill your requests. Despite this, we are not perfect, and an
occasional "out of stock" disappointment may occur.
