CUSTOM PAINTING SERVICE
Please note that painting fees are determined by the type of model, such
as rolling stock versus a locomotive
and the level of complexity of the paint scheme. Brass and plastic locomotives
each have their own specific requirements for preparation and painting.
For example some brass pieces may need re-soldering. All pieces are sand
blasted before priming and painting.
For a straight forward paint job on a locomotive, the starting price would be
$175US. Additional colors or striping raises the price accordingly.
Weathering is available at no extra charge.
Custom painting of brass locomotives includes installation of
lighting (when applicable), decaling and window glazing.
Scales for painting are HO scale and larger. There is no custom
painting/decaling of N or Z scale pieces available.
